Hamilton Blvd Update

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - There is another change for the opening of Hamilton Boulevard in Sioux City.

We first told you the bridge would have a partial opening this week. That was pushed back to November 4th. Today, Sioux City's Mayor said part of the road will re-open to traffic November 1st, with the entire bridge open on November 9th.

"Obviously not going to complete when we thought and hoped they would. At least there's a plan now that they've got personnel there. They're trying to get the bridge open quicker than what they originally told us. So that's good news" said Sioux City Mayor Bob Scott.

Mayor Scott says he receives updates on the bridge construction from the contractor every two days. As long as everything goes as planned, it should be open again with 2-lanes on November 1st and the entire stretch on November 9th.
