Double OT heartbreaker: UNI loses 4th straight game

BROOKINGS, SD (KWWL) -

A heartbreaking season continues for the UNI Panthers as the Panthers lost a 4th quarter lead, then fell in double overtime to S. Dakota State 37-34.

Tyler Sievertson missed a game-winning 30-yard field goal as time expired in the 4th quarter.

The teams traded field goals in the first overtime.  Sievertson kicked a field goal in the second overtime but the Jackrabbits scored a touchdown to win the game.

The Panthers will take on Illinois State next Saturday in Normal, Ill.  Kickoff begins at 1 pm.
