ISU needs to win-out to go to bowl game

Iowa State is now 1-6 on the season. Iowa State is now 1-6 on the season.

Iowa State dropped it's fourth straight game, 58-27 to 19th ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Unlike the loss to Baylor, the Cyclones moved the ball, gaining nearly 350 yards of offense and were down eight at half.

But, ISU was anemic on third down, converting just 4-of-20 attempts.

With five games remaining the Cyclones will have to win out in order to become bowl eligible.

"Adversity has struck, it's still here, but at the same time we gotta keep our heads up and keep trucking, man," running back Shontrelle Johnson said.

"Everybody has to come together and these last five games, we have to make something happen."

Three of Iowa State's final five games are on the road. That includes a stop at Kansas State next on Saturday.
