A movie filmed in Siouxland is getting a Hollywood-type premier in Norfolk, Nebraska. Alexander Payne shot his latest film, "Nebraska,"in Northeast Nebraska this past year. The presence of camera crews and Hollywood stars brought a lot of excitement to towns including Norfolk, Plainview, Stanton and many others that were used as locations in the film.
Another special film premiere will be taking place this month. It will be similar to the first film premiere, only this time the Norfolk Area Film Commission will have the film premiere exclusively in Norfolk. The event will take place on November 25th and director Alexander Payne is expected to take part also two other stars, Bruce Dern and Will Forte.
The night will feature a reception with remarks from Payne before the film is screened at a Norfolk movie theater. The public will be able to attend the premiere. Organizers say there are a limited number of tickets that will go on sale and they'll be sold online only at the website NorfolkNebraskaPremiere.com.
