Sioux City voters head to the polls Tuesday to decide city council race


Iowans will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 5 to vote in the general election.

In Sioux City, voters will decide between six candidates to fill three open seats on the city council.

On the ballot are Doug Batcheller, Jim France, Pete Groetken, Dan Moore, Keith Radig and Maria Rundquist.

In Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, voters will choose a new mayor, but no one is on the ballot.

Woodbury County Auditor Pat Gill said the person with the most write-in votes will be elected to the post.

Iowa polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
