Winter Weather Advisory for Lyon, Sioux, Union, Dixon, Osceola, Lincoln, Clay, Yankton, Cedar, Knox, Antelope, Pierce, Wayne, Madison, and Holt counties Tuesday.

For much of the day many in Siouxland saw rain.

But Tuesday afternoon, that turned into snow.

It's not accumulating just yet in Sioux City but for awhile it was really coming down.

In Norfolk, Nebraska it is snowing and it causing a few accidents on the roads.

A mixture of wet snow and winds moved into the area early this afternoon. The Nebraska Department of Roads is urging drivers to exercise extreme caution on roadways throughout the majority of Northeast Nebraska due to the wet and potentially icy conditions, especially as the evening wears on and temperatures begin to fall.

Crews with the Nebraska State Patrol have been busy throughout the afternoon, tending to a number of weather related accidents. Troopers were called to Elkhorn River Bridge near Battle Creek for a single vehicle accident where a truck slid into the bridge rail.

The Antelope Nebraska County Sheriff's Office is urging extreme caution along Highway 14. A mile-long portion of the highway was down to single lane traffic earlier this afternoon as crews were on scene cleaning up a single vehicle accident near the Antelope/Boone County line.

There have been no officials snowfall totals in Norfolk as of this hour, but accumulation is less that one-inch. Area's North of Norfolk have reported larger amounts of snowfall.

KTIV's Ron Demers will have the latest information about the snow and what to expect on News 4 starting at 5.
