Man accused of kidnapping BCU student enters not guilty plea

A man says he's not guilty to charges he, and another man, forced a Briar Cliff University student into a car at gunpoint.

It happened back in February.  Court documents say the student was trying to buy marijuana when he was robbed.

Documents say 18 year-old Trey Boykin was driving the car, while 23 year-old passenger Gerry Patterson was holding a gun.  The student was later let out, unharmed.

Boykin has entered a not guilty plea.  His trial is set for December.

Patterson pleaded guilty, last week.  His sentencing date has not been set.
