Sen. Dubas brings gubernatorial campaign to northeast Nebraska
NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) -
Tax policy and tax reform are expected to be the largest issues before the Nebraska Legislature when lawmakers return to Lincoln in January.
State Senator, and Democratic candidate for Governor, Annette Dubas is touring Nebraska to discuss tax policy with prospective voters, including meeting with voters in Norfolk Wednesday afternoon.
"Almost invariably it comes back to property taxes. I think in light of what the tax modernization committee did this year, that's what's on people's minds, so I continue to hear, what are we going to do about property taxes," said Sen. Dubas.
The Dubas campaign will hold a similar event at Kahill's in South Sioux City Thursday morning.
She'll face Chuck Hassebrook in next year's democratic gubernatorial primary.
