Hornick Mini Mart damaged by fire

A fire in Hornick, Iowa heavily damaged a convenience store.

Crews were called to the Mini Mart about 4:15 Friday afternoon.

The business had just re-opened in July.

Hornick Volunteer Fire Chief Bob Nelson said the building was full of smoke when firefighters arrived.

They were able to put out the flames before losing the whole building, but most of the contents inside the Mini Mart were destroyed.
