Aaron White had 20 points in Iowa's 98-93 win over Notre Dame on Wednesday night.
Iowa improved to 8-1 with a 98-93 win over Notre Dame late Tuesday night in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
The Hawks got a team-high 20 points from Aaron White, as they bounced back from an overtime loss to Villanova last weekend.
Iowa shot 57 percent from the field and won for just the third time in 13 tries in the Big 10-ACC series.
It was Iowa's fourth game in six days, so beating a quality opponent is a big boost.
"We could have made excuses that we were tired, we even had some difficulties on the plane ride back," said sophomore guard Mike Gesell. "We could have just wrote this one up to fatigue but we showed a lot of fight and a lot of character to pull this one out."
"This is a team that's going to be in the NCAA tournament," said head coach Fran McCaffery. "They've been, we want to get in. Well, you better play some teams and you better beat some teams that are going to be in."
Iowa will play Drake on Saturday night at 7:30 in Des Moines.
