Waltteri Hopponen scored two goals during the Musketeers 3-1 win over Fargo on Wednesday.
Jared Thomas scored the first goal of the game, and Waltteri Hopponen added two more during the Musketeers 3-1 win over the Force in Fargo, North Dakota, on Wednesday.
Hopponen, a 17-year-old from Finland, scored both of his goals in the second period. Thomas' goal at the 3:57 mark gave Sioux City a 1-0 first period lead but Fargo countered to tie the game at 1-1 after on stanza.
Sioux City outshot the Force, 56-24. Sioux City goalie Kyle Hayton made 23 saves to earn the victory in net.
Sioux City (13-7-1) travels to Lincoln on Friday and Sioux Falls on Saturday.
