Woman faces 51 charges of illegally buying, selling prescription drugs

A 28-year woman from Royal, Iowa has been arrested on more than 50 charges of illegally buying prescription drugs with intent to sell them on the street.  Storm Lake police say Kayleen Leedahl posed as a nurse and called in fraudulent prescriptions to the Wal-Mart Pharmacy from July to November.

She faces a total of 51 counts, both felony and misdemeanor, including Possession With Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs and Ongoing Criminal Conduct.

Bond was set at $50,000 dollars in Buena Vista County.

Leedahl is awaiting transfer from Carroll County, where she is charged with Probation Revocation for Theft of Lottery Tickets.
