Murder trial for Corey Trott moved to another Iowa county

ROCKWELL CITY, Iowa (KTIV)  The trial of a Rockwell City, Iowa man charged with shooting a police officer to death is being moved to another county.

In September, authorities say Corey Trott shot officer Jamie Buenting during a standoff with police at Trott's home.  Trott has pled not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder.

Officer Buenting was one of several Rockwell City police officers at the home to arrest Trott on charges of assulting his mother days earlier.

His trial is set for April, in Wright County.
