Mike Gesell has helped lead Iowa to an 11-2 start to the year.
Iowa wrapped up its non-conference schedule by absolutely dismantling Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
Up next, Iowa's Big Ten opener against Nebraska on New Year's Eve.
The 11-2 Hawkeyes are ranked 22nd in the latest AP Top Poll but statistically, they're one of the top five programs.
The squad is averaging 88 points per game, which ranks 5th in the country.
They're not a selfish team either, tallying nearly 20 assists per game, which is 4th best in the nation.
With all the size they have down in the post, Iowa is 3rd hauling in 45 rebounds per game.
They're ready for a tough Big Ten schedule.
"I think the thing that you have to do now is just look ahead," Fran McCaffery said. "You don't want to look back and say we could have won this. You know, we're 11-2. That's what we are and it wasn't easy to get there."
"We've got guys that have been there before, we're an experienced team" Devyn Marble added. "We've been battled tested at Atlantis and going to Iowa State. We're ready for the competition."
The Hawkeyes and Huskers game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
