Gospel Mission Thanksgiving feast hungry Siouxlanders

The Gospel Mission in Sioux City, served up a hearty helping of the holidays for hungry people.

About 150 people feasted on turkey, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

The workers and volunteers said,  the hot meal gives people a warm place to socialize.

The Gospel Mission, also handed out gifts after the dinner.

Some said,  the meal and the time to be with others made their day a little better.

Floyd Valley Hospital shows hospitality

For those who were alone on Christmas, the Floyd Valley Hospital dished up some hospitality.

For more than 15 years, the hospital has been inviting anyone who doesn't have family or friends around to spend the holidays with to grab a plate and enjoy a hot meal.

Volunteers helped prepare more than 80 pounds of turkey and nearly 400 slices of pie to serve over 200 people who came to celebrate Christmas at the Le Mars hospital.

Independent film 'Nebraska' gets some attention

The independent film 'Nebraska', gave the state some extra attention.

The movie features stars like Bruce Dern and Former Saturday Night Live Will Forte, but Kevin Kunkle, a bail bondsman from Sioux Falls also has a role in the film.

The South Dakota resident, was approached by a handful of directors for roles in other films.
