A gift given is a gift returned after Christmas

With the sun shining, shoppers were out in Sioux City on Thursday to make some returns and exchanges.

Christmas shopping isn't quite over yet. The day after Christmas is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Mostly because folks are bringing back unwanted gifts and hunting for new deals.

"A lot of returns and exchanges you know, tis the season," said Bre Willems, the general manager at Old Navy. "People come in, maybe need a different size or a different color of something and then use their gift cards and buys some new stuff.

Other people said they're looking for what they really wanted for Christmas.

"Well my dad always pays for everything in cash, so we can just get the cash back and buy whatever we want," said Madison Heaton.

"Just trying to return a sweater for my mom because it didn't work out for her," said Juan Orellana.

If you're planning to return or exchange any of your holiday gifts the folks at Game Stop want to remind you not to forget to bring your receipt, it makes things go more smoothly.
