Fire damages Lawton house

The home of a Lawton volunteer fire fighter caught fire, while he was helping on the scene of a different blaze.

Cody myers was helping put out a grass fire, when a call came in that his house was on fire.

When crews arrived, they quickly put out the flames and everyone inside made it out safely.

Unfortunately, their home ended up with some heavy smoke damage.

They are still looking into what started the fire.

Arraignment hearing is set for Orange City, Iowa daycare provider charged with the murder of a 3-year-old girl

33-year old Rochelle Sapp was back in court.

The Orange City, Iowa woman is charged with the murder of a three-year old girl.

Sapp pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, and child endangerment resulting in death before a judge in Sioux County court.

The judge allowed her to post 10 percent of her 250-thousand dollar bond, and she was released from jail.

First Christmas for Garcia quintuplets

The Garcia quintuplets are five months old now, and life has certainly changed in their South Sioux City household.

Their mom, Bianca, said, the shock of having five babies has worn and they've settled into a daily routine.

The Garcia's said, their two older sons are quick to pitch in and help changing diapers, feeding and playing with them.

The Garcia's also said they are thankful for all the support they've gotten from friends, family, and mercy's home care staff.

Tips for returning gifts after the holidays

Shoppers in Sioux City were making returns and exchanges, but many were still Christmas shopping.

They were hunting for after Christmas bargains, and for stores that meant big business.

 People are bringing back unwanted gifts and on the prowl for new deals.

Stores said, to bring your receipt if you plan on returning something.
