It's official! Sioux City has broken the record high for December 27

Posted:

Sioux Gateway Airport reported 59 degrees for the high temperature and that breaks the old record for this date that was set in 1928 in Sioux City.

The old record temperature was 57 degrees.

Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-15 miles per hour as will be the case Friday night.

Lows will be near 20 degrees for most with clear skies and calm winds.

Saturday will be the last day of mild temperatures for awhile with highs in the upper 40s at around noon.

A strong cold front will then pass through tomorrow afternoon that will allow for the winds to shift to the north and become strong at 20-30 miles per hour.
