Cold weather to blame for train derailment near Ashton, IA

NEAR ASHTON, Iowa (KTIV) Several rail cars came off the tracks South of Ashton, Iowa this morning.

Osceola County Sheriff's officials say more than a dozen cars derailed when a piece of track came up off the ground along Highway 60.

They say the cold weather is to blame.

No one was hurt, and nothing spilled on the ground.

Crews are working to get those rail cars picked back up.
