Anthony Jennings (10) celebrates with teammates during LSU's win over Arkansas.
Iowa and LSU each held a walk-through at Raymond James Stadium that was closed to the public but a a continuing storyline at the Outback Bowl is back-up QB Anthony Jennings who will make his first career start for the Tigers.
Both Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz and LSU head coach Les Miles say the young freshman has demonstrated some moxy in coming off the bench in the teams season ending victory against arkansas.
Jenning is only the second LSU quarterback to make his first start in a bowl game. Matt Flynn, who is now with the Green Bay Packers-- led LSU to a 40-3 victory over Miami in the 2005 Chic-Fil-A Bowl.
"Ball on the 1 foot line, he took them 99 plus yards and did it a multitude of ways, threw some very nice passes, made some plays with his feet, and he's still got a ton of other good players on the field as well."
"I think he's a very cerebral guy. I think he knows exactly where he's at, exactly what's going on, and you learn how to handle some of those peak positions in athletics, and I think Anthony Jennings has that."
The Outback kicks off at noon and can be seen on ESPN.
