Muskies gear up for playoff push

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - After missing out on a big opportunity against Omaha on Tuesday, the Musketeers return to the Tyson Events Center Friday and Saturday for a couple of games against Muskegon.

Sioux City will look to keep winning games as the playoff race heats up.

The Muskies currently sit in fourth place in the USHL's west division, but is just four points out of second.
Head coach Jay Varady says that at the teams jockey for position, consistency will be the key.

"We don't really get ahead of anything here," said head coach Jay Varady. "Obviously we have some long-term goals that we talked about earlier in the season, but for right now we're just trying to collect two points every night and that keeps us focused on what we're trying to do."

The puck drops at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
