Meth lab uncovered after house fire

YANKTON, S.D. (KTIV) - A Yankton, South Dakota man is behind bars, after a house fire that authorities blame on a meth lab.

Yankton firefighters were called to the 500 block of East 8th Street just after 4:00 pm, Friday.

Upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the second floor windows.

Two subjects were treated by EMS and released at the scene.

After the fire was extinguished, authorities found components of a one-pot meth lab inside.

Twenty-five-year-old Laray Slate was arrested for Unauthorized Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance and a Parole Violation.
