13th ranked Morningside continued to dominate the cross town rivalry against 19th ranked Briar Cliff, winning it's fifth straight game against the Chargers 92-81 Saturday afternoon.

In fact, Morningside Head Coach Jamie Sale improved to 23-2 all-time against BC.

All ready with three conference losses, the Mustangs knew Saturday was a must win game if they wanted to keep the hopes of a GPAC title in tact.

"It was a huge win.  If we would have a had a fourth loss in the conference, we probably wouldn't have a had a great chance to win it," Head Coach Jamie Sale said.  "We knew if we had any chance to win the conference, we'd have to win today (Saturday)."

Morningside is back on the court Jan. 8, when they host Dordt.
