Nebraska's Humane Society said best place for your pets is indoors

The Nebraska's Humane Society said, the best place for your pets, is indoors, when there are breaking record low temperatures.

If your pets have to be outside, it's important to make sure they have a solid structure to protect them with hay or straw inside for insulation.

Dogs also need constant access to water, so use heated bowls during freezing weather.

And even though they have fur, the tips of their ears, their nose, parts of their mouth, and even their paws are all susceptible to frostbite.
