DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - The Dakota County Courthouse in Nebraska was closed Monday because of a water main break caused by the cold weather.

The service pipe was fixed Monday evening and the courthouse will be open again Tuesday for normal business hours.

Water did not get into the courthouse, but they did have to shut the main water line off and close the courthouse to make the repairs.

Officials say the break happened at about 7 a.m. and water was shooting ten to twelve feet into the air.

Water was coming up into the courthouse parking lot, but the courthouse itself is dry.
