Sioux City's Collin Olson made 60 total saves in two Musketeer wins last weekend.
Sioux City Musketeer goalie Collin Olson has been named the USHL's Goaltender Of The Week.
19-year-old backstopped the Musketeers to a pair
of wins over the weekend, while turning out a 1.00 goals-against average
and .968 save percentage in the process. Making just his second
appearance for the Musketeers, he stopped all 29 shots he faced in a 3-0
win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Friday.
It was the sixth shutout of his USHL career. The 2012 NHL Draft pick of
the Carolina Hurricanes then made 31 saves in a 4-2 win over Muskegon
Olson has won all three of his starts since joining the
Musketeers, recording a 1.33 GAA and .960 SV%
in that time. The Apple Valley, Minnesota native has posted two
shutouts in five total starts this season.
The Musketeers have won nine of their last ten games and will play the first of six straight road games in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday.
