WANTED: Sioux City Police issue a warrant for a man in the Oak Street shooting

Sioux City Police are have released the name of suspect Jose Sandoval-Alvarez, 19, of Sioux City, who is wanted for attempted murder.

Lieutenant Mark Kirkpatrick released Sandoval-Alvarez's name Thursday.

Kirkpatrick said police responded to 1115 Oak Street in Sioux City on Friday January 3 at 4:15 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a Nate McCauley, 32, with multiple gunshot wounds.

McCauley was treated at Mercy Medical Center and was released on Sunday.

Kirkpatrick said Sandoval-Alvarez left the scene with a second man.

Both are still unaccounted for.

Sandoval-Alvarez's warrant has been issued for attempted murder, willful injury and going armed with intent.

Police haven't issued a warrant for the second man.

Jose Sandoval-Alvarz, 19 of Sioux City is 5'7" and 160 pounds.
