UPDATE: Anthony Barton arrested by U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force


SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) - Authorities have captured a man, accused of hitting his girlfriend with her own car outside a Sioux City shopping area.

Authorities say 23-year-old Anthony Barton was found at a Sergeant Bluff residence by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force and Sergeant Bluff police.

Back on December 19th, police say Barton hit his 22-year-old girlfriend, Karilynn Schroeder, near the PetSmart store at Lakeport Commons.

Barton faces several charges including assault and going armed with intent.
