SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - The Sioux City Bandits hosted an open tryout Sunday morning.
The Bandits are coming off a 10-3 season in which they fell to the Salina Bombers in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League playoffs.
This season will be Sioux City's second in the CPIFL.
Sunday was all about a new beginning. The Bandits are putting last season behind them as they begin to build their new squad.

"We lost a few games last year," said head coach Erv Strohbeen. "We finished 10-3, it was a great record, but we lost in the playoffs, and that's not where you want to lose. We feel like we need to bring in a few guys that just put the puzzle pieces together."

The Bandits have one preseason home game on February 7th against the Sioux Falls Storm.

Their first regular season game is March 2nd.
