The city of Sioux City is still working out a deal for the Sioux City Hotel.
City leaders said this is because the developers they're working with are still reviewing the agreement.
As of now, Sioux City said there are no issues with the key points of the contract.
That includes the price of buying the property for $4,000,000 and renovating it for at least $6,500,000 more.
City officials said the developers are spending time going through all the details.
But, at Monday's council meeting, mayor Bob Scott said he's ready to finalize the project as soon as possible.
"I know the council's not willing to make any changes to that proposal. We've put a really good proposal on the table and we're going to stick to our guns on that proposal. It's time to get a decision made in the next couple of weeks," Mayor Bob Scott said.
The proposal will be back on the council's agenda in two weeks.
