Norfolk School Board approves wage increase for teachers

NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - The Norfolk Public School District approved the salary rate for teachers for the 2014-2015 school year.

Monday night,  Board member Dr. Brad Krivohlavek outlined the salary package for the upcoming school year.    
   
The board approved the new salary agreement unanimously.

Dr. Krivohlavek said, "3.35% total increase with $500 on benefit/flat salary package and $520 on base salary. No changes to language in negotiated agreement, similar to the increases the district is seeing in other districts across the state."

The final negotiated agreement between the Norfolk Public Schools and the teacher's union is set to be adopted at next board meeting.
