NJ Gov. Chris Christie apologizes during State of the State address

(NBC News) New Jersey Governor Chris Christie used his state of the state address on Tuesday to seize attention back from a scandal that has engulfed his administration and presidential ambitions.

After a bi-partisan standing ovation, the republican governor began his speech by directly addressing the controversy surrounding him.

"The last week has certainly tested this administration. Mistakes were clearly made and as a result we let down the people we were entrusted to serve," Christie said.
