U.S. Senate Candidate pushes experience in race of Johanns' seat

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Omaha business attorney and U.S. Senate hopeful Bart McLeay stopped our studios Friday, to talk about his campaign.

The Republican says his two biggest concerns are a fiscal crises in the country, and the erosion or individual rights.

McLeay says there's little difference between the Republican candidates philosophically.  That's why he says his nearly three decades of financial experience should be a deciding factor for voters.

"I understand the economic principals that drive a business to grow, cause the economy to expand, and I know that we have a fiscal mess on our hands, and I wanted to be part of the fix,” stated McLeay.

Sid Dinsdale, Ben Sasse, Jim Jenkins, and Shane Osborn have also expressed interest in current Senator Mike Johanns' seat.

Johanns is not running for reelection
