Korean medical students visit Mercy to tour an American hospital

Sioux City's Mercy Medical Center had a special group of visitors Friday. Ten medical students from Korea got a VIP tour of the facility.

With a nurse as their tour guide, the group of medical students were able to see first hand how a successful hospital runs in the United States. Some of the medical equipment even sparked a choir of "Oohs" and "Ahs" among the group. So, what's the difference between our hospitals and the hospitals in Korea?

"I think it's similar with the hospitals in Korea, but the big ones," said Korean medical student Yong Hee Kim. "I think it's more specialized in a good way. Very clean and the employees are very friendly, and I feel so happy to be here."

On Sunday, the group will fly to California for a week of relaxation and then they travel back home to Korea.
