Norfolk Fire crews were called out to a structure fire at the OfficeMax building just after seven o'clock Saturday night.
Norfolk Fire Chief Scott Cordes said that crews were called by a passerby reporting flames showing from building's roof above the City Scooter and Off-road business.
Cordes said that the first crews on scene found fire coming from a mechanical unit on the roof of the building.
“We did determine that the fire was above the roof line, there was no damage to the structure itself. In the actual occupancy, the scooter store, there was no damage it was all above the roof line within that mechanical unit on the roof,” said Cordes.
Norfolk Fire Crews remained on scene Saturday night to isolate the mechanical unit in question to return power to the building to avoid any freezing issues
