Coyote men atop the Summit League standings

South Dakota is now 3-0 in Summit League action. South Dakota is now 3-0 in Summit League action.

The South Dakota men have been on a tear in Summit League action and are now in first place in the league with a 3-0 mark.

Behind 21 points by Karim Rowson, the Coyotes toppled Fort Wayne 75-61 Saturday afternoon in Vermillion, South Dakota, to take over the top spot.

USD has won five straight, it's longest winning streak in three years.

"It does boost us up in a certain way, but we don't want to get too high on it," senior Karim Rowson said.  "It's a great feeling being first in the Summit League, but this is just another win for us, I think."

The Coyotes are 8-9 overall.
