Several groups will interview city manager finalists in what mayor calls "open" process

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV)- Last week, Sioux City Mayor Bob Scott released the names of the three finalists for city manager. Wednesday, those finalists will be interviewed by the Sioux City community.

Finalists include Timothy Hacker, Cole O'Donnell, and Robert Padmore, who's Sioux City's interim city manager. They'll be interviewed by numerous groups including city employees, local business leaders, and members of the news media. The city council will also ask questions of the finalists.

Scott wants to remind the community that this is an open process. "I've been through this process three times and there's always the argument that only the council knows, that we keep it closed, we don't let the citizens know. This is a very open process and we'll see if the results are any different," said Mayor Bob Scott.

The interviews will last all day Wednesday. KTIV's Matt Breen will serve on the panel of news media, which will interview the city manager candidates at the Sioux City Convention Center.
