UPDATE: Pop star Justin Bieber exits jail after DUI arrest

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Pop star Justin Bieber walked out of jail Thursday following his arrest earlier in the day in Miami Beach on charges including driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

Bieber was arrested after police said they saw him speeding down a residential street in Miami Beach in a yellow Lamborghini. Officers say he had an expired license, was initially not cooperative when he was pulled over and smelled of alcohol.

He was charged with DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest.

The 19-year-old Bieber was released on $2,500 bond.

(NBC News)  Pop star Justin Bieber is in police custody following an early morning arrest in Miami Beach, Florida.

Police say Bieber was arrested on suspicion of drag racing and DUI after being pulled over behind the wheel of a rented yellow Lamborghini.

He is also charged with resisting arrest.

Miami Beach Police Chief Ray Martinez told reporters that Bieber was uncooperative after being pulled over and provided officers with an expired Georgia driver's license.
