Woodbury County correctional officer charged with public intoxication

A Woodbury County correctional officer will spend one day in jail after being charged with public intoxication at his work.

According to court documents, Joe Moravek, told an on-duty officer that he had consumed mixed drinks until around ten Thursday night.

Hours later, documents show Moravek, submitted to a breath test, indicating a blood alcohol content of  .213.

Moravek was taken to the county jail.

It was there he took another test and had a blood alcohol content of .197.

Moravek was sentenced to one day in jail and ordered to pay a fine.

Sheriff Dave Drew say Moravek is on administrative leave.
