SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City's Des Moines delegation came home this weekend for a legislative town hall meeting.

Citizens applauded Governor Terry Branstad for supporting the ethanol industry, but were upset about his decision to close the Iowa Juvenile Home and Girls Training School in Toledo. Iowa Representative David Dawson said that this is a complicated issue that needs to be addressed. He said, more than 90 employees were laid off and 48 girls were shuffled off to different locations. Some out of the state and away from their families.

The Iowa Senate is currently working on a bill to address this issue.
