Nearly a dozen trucks and ATV's crash through the ice during the Winter Games

Plenty of people up at the Iowa Great Lakes this weekend for the winter games have not heeded the warning to stay off the ice on certain parts of the lake.

Saturday night, the ice broke underneath a truck and an ATV parked on Pillsbury Point, which you can see from our Smith's Bay skycam.

The Iowa DNR says everyone was rescued by airboat.

Earlier in the day the driver of this Jeep tried to cross under Highway 71's Saw Mill Bridge between Upper Gar and Minnewashta and fell through.

According to the Iowa DNR, at least eight vehicles have fallen through thin ice since the games began yesterday.

No one's been hurt, but they're urging people to stay away from points, pressure ridges, and bridges, where the ice is always thin because of the current.
