SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - There have been three shootings in the last two months, and Monday Sioux City police confirmed they are all connected.

Saturday's shooting on Sioux City's west side left one man dead and injured another. Police say the people involved in the three shootings knew each other.

Police say Saturday's shooting at the home at 507 West 27th street started with an altercation and escalated into gunfire. When police arrived at the house, they found 32-year-old Rodney Houston lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He later died at Mercy Medical Center.

Another victim, 35-year-old Jorge Chavez, was shot twice and was found nearby.

This is the same house where two people were killed and another man, Luis Sanchez, was wounded back in November.

Sanchez lived at the home, but was moving out when the fight began Saturday afternoon.

Police say the two shootings at that west side home are connected to another shooting earlier this month.

That one at 1115 Oak Street.

When police arrived to that scene, 32-year-old Nate McCauley had multiple gun shot wounds.

He survived but police are still searching for 19-year-old Jose Sandoval-Alvarez in that case.

He's wanted for attempted murder, willful injury and going armed with intent.

Sioux City police say even though the three shootings are connected, they wouldn't say whether or not they are gang related.
