Woodbury Co. Courthouse shifts building hours to improve safety

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - In an effort to make the county safer, the Woodbury County courthouse will be changing their hours starting Monday.

Employees will be able to enter the building between the hours of 7a.m.-8a.m. with an access card.

And, the public can enter starting at 8a.m. up until 4:30p.m.

These new hours are the first step in the county board's push to make the courthouse safer for all.

This past Tuesday, they approved a quarter of a million dollar budget that will go toward courthouse security.

County leaders said this money will be used for security cameras and personnel.
