Voters asked to raise PPEL in Boyden-Hull school district


BOYDEN, Iowa (KTIV)  Voters will head to the polls Tuesday in one northwest Iowa school district, in the hopes of renovating its athletic facilities.

Voters in the Boyden-Hull school district will be asked to raise the "physical plant and improvement levy, or  PPEL, by 67 cents for the remaining two years.

They also be asked to extend it for an additional 10 years.

The school's superintendent says the money would be used to improve the athletic facility they share with Western Christian.

Some of the improvements include resurfacing the track, building a new concession stand and improving the public restrooms.

Polls are open Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
