Lawmakers to vote on farm bill

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KWWL) - After years of debate, the U.S. could have a deal on a farm bill very soon. The senate is expected to vote on the bill Tuesday.

The $1 trillion dollar agriculture and nutrition bill affects everything from corn subsidies to food stamps. The bill has already passed the house. Iowa's two senators are split on how they will vote.

Democrat Tom Harkin says he will vote in favor of the bill, while Republican Chuck Grassley has promised to vote against it.
