PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A dozen South Dakota school districts will get grants totaling more than $8.5 million dollars to develop and strengthen career and technical education programs.

Two Siouxland districts will receive some of the money.

The Vermillion School District will get more than $99,0000.

Yankton's School District will get more than $280,000.

Governor Dennis Daugaard says the grants from the state "Future Fund" will help prepare students for jobs or further education.
