A Siouxland school district is dealing with a sudden vacancy on its school board

NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) - Norfolk Public School Board Member, Julee Pfeil, has announced her plans to step down from the school board following Monday night's meeting. Pfeil said that she's resigning to focus more attention on other commitments, including her work with the after school program, The Zone.

In a statement included as part of the board's agenda, Pfeil said the school district has transitioned well with new leadership and has an excellent strategic plan to direct the district in the years to come.

School officials are expected to discuss the process the board will take to fill Pfeil's seat during the Monday night meeting.
