A Siouxland arts center will be recognized by Neb. Gov.
NORFOLK, Neb. (US92/KTIV) - A Siouxland arts center is going to be recognized by Nebraska's governor next month.
The Norfolk Arts Center will be honored at the 2014 Governors Arts Awards for its organizational achievements over the years.
Arts Center officials say the award isn't just for the center itself.
Kara Weander-Gaster, Norfolk Arts Center Director said, "It is actually an award for the entire community. To me it speaks a lot about who we are and that we have risen up and said that the arts are an important part of who we are and what we think is important."
The 2014 Governors Arts Awards will take place Tuesday March 25 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference center in La Vista.
