Water main break cancels BCU on-campus classes for the second straight day

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV)- School officials have canceled Tuesday's on-campus classes at Briar Cliff University following a water main break over the weekend.

Spokesperson Paula Damon says the break happened Sunday night on the north side of campus. Water is shut off, campus-wide, until the break can be fixed.

Students living on-campus have been moved to off-campus housing. Red Cross spokesperson Tammy Lee says the 30-to-40 students, who stayed at West Middle School, Sunday night, will stay at the American Red Cross office Monday night.

Online, and off-campus, classes may still be held. The university wants those students to contact their instructors with any questions about specific online or off-campus courses.
