Firm looks to expand into new downtown digs

FEH Associates has bought two lots on the corner of 8th and Pierce.

Several dilapidated buildings currently site at the site.  FEH plans to tear them down, to build a 5,000 square foot building.

They plan to break ground this spring, and have the project finished in eight to nine months.

It's a one-point-four million dollar project that will create four new jobs.  The city council has agreed to give the firm $150,000 in tax credits to help with the new development.

"We truly believe that the new building that we would design and build in that corner of 8th and Pierce Street would be a nice addition to not only the neighborhood, but would also enhance the entire beginning of the Pierce St. corridor,” Ron Speckmann | FEH Associates Partner.

FEH has two other Iowa offices, in Des Moines and Dubuque, and one in Wisconsin.
